Mother's Day Out
Designed for the young preschool child age 6 weeks -24 months, this program provides a semi-structured experience including story time, creative movement, art, and games, along with free play and some theme activities within a loving Christian group setting.
The program is designed to enhance the emotional, developmental, and spiritual growth of the preschool child. This program offers structured learning experiences, classroom art experiences, music, creative movement and chapel, in a loving Christian classroom setting. Preschool activities include Weekly Theme Activities, Academic Activities, Centers, Circle Time, Creative Movement, Art Experiences, Music, Outdoor Fun, Sharing Time, Story Time, Quiet Time, Bible Time, Free Play, and Special Guests.
Summer and Holiday
Monday - Friday, 7AM-6PM. Summer and Holiday sessions are less academically structured than the regular school program. Each camp week is based on a summertime or holiday theme. Programs are brought into the school to maximize fun and learning. Children spend more time outside playing games and socializing with friends. Summer activities include water so don’t forget the bathing suits!

Before and After School Program
HCS is currently accepting Elementary Students for digital learning during the public school closure. See FAQ section for more information.
Options are available for care before and after normal school session hours:
- Before Care - 7:00AM - 9:30 AM
- Extended Preschool Day – 1:30PM - 3:00PM
- After Care - 1:30PM - 6:00 PM
We currently drop off before care and pickup after care students at the following local schools: Jackson Elementary, McKendree Elementary, Rock Springs Elementary, Taylor Elementary and Walnut Grove Elementary.
Please note Parents must update with GCPS the child's Gwinnett County Public Schools Elementary Transportation Parent Authorization Form authorizing the school to release the child to the Horizon Christian School day care van. Two additional forms must be completed and signed by the parent/gardian: Horizon Christian School Transportation Authorization Agreement and the Vehicle Emergency Medical Information form.
A daily lunch program is available to all students. Lunch includes an entrée, two side dishes and milk. A lunch calendar is sent home each month with the fee for the current month listed. Lunch and snack calenders are also available on our Download page.
Students may bring a bag lunch to school each day. Lunch can include a drink, however, all students will be given milk to drink before juices or other drinks may be consumed. All lunches from home should be made up of already prepared foods that are easy to consume and clean up. Lunch from home must meet USDA requirements (1 protein serving and either 1 fruit/1 vegetable or 2 fruits or 2 vegetables) and not include any items that require refrigeration or heating (with the exception of infant classes).
